Schedule Emails

Settings > User Profile includes a Schedule emails section where anyone who teaches -- instructors, and any owner or admin who also teaches -- can opt in to receive their own upcoming lessons by email. It's entirely self-service: there's no organization-level switch, and nothing for your school to configure.

Who Sees This

The Schedule emails section appears on Settings > User Profile for any user with an instructor record at the school they're currently signed in to.

If someone teaches at more than one Conductly school, each school has its own independent subscription -- turning it on at one school doesn't turn it on at another, and a person signed in to a school where they don't teach won't see the section at all.

The Two Emails

Two independent toggles, both off by default:

ToggleDefaultWhen it sendsWhat it includes
Email me tomorrow's scheduleOffEach evening at 6 PM (school's timezone)The next day's lessons, students, and rooms. Nothing sends on a day the instructor isn't teaching.
Email me the week aheadOffSunday evening at 6 PM (school's timezone)The coming week, grouped by day. Sends even if the week is empty.

Turn either one on independently -- an instructor can have just the daily email, just the weekly one, both, or neither.

What's in the Email

Each lesson listed includes its time, duration, title, roster, and location. Conductly also calls out anything worth a second look before the lesson:

  • Substituting -- you're covering someone else's lesson
  • Make-up -- this occurrence is a make-up lesson
  • Moved from ... -- the lesson was rescheduled from its original time
  • First lesson -- this is the student's first lesson with this instructor

If the week-ahead email lands on an empty week, it still arrives, with a note that there's nothing scheduled -- so a quiet week doesn't get mistaken for a broken subscription.

Turning It On or Off

  1. Go to Settings > User Profile.
  2. Find the Schedule emails section.
  3. Toggle Email me tomorrow's schedule and/or Email me the week ahead on or off.

Changes save automatically. Every schedule email also includes a Change or stop these emails link in the footer, which returns to this same settings page -- there's no separate one-click unsubscribe.

info

There's no school-wide setting for this feature and no way to change the send time -- 6 PM in the school's timezone is fixed for both emails. Each person manages only their own subscription.

Best Practices

  • Point instructors to it during onboarding. Both emails are off by default, so nobody receives them unless they turn the toggle on themselves.
  • Teaching at more than one school? Turn the toggle on separately at each one -- subscriptions don't carry over between schools.
