Features

Settings > Features is home base for the parts of Conductly that are optional -- switched off until your school decides to use them. Turning one on adds its own settings page to the sidebar; turning it off hides the feature from everyone at your school without deleting anything it already recorded.

Go to Settings > Features (Organization group -- it's the first item, since it decides which of the other Organization pages even show up).

Every toggle on this page autosaves -- there's no separate save button.

The Features

FeatureWhat it doesDefault
Time offLets instructors request time away, routes requests for approval, and blocks bookings once approved.Off
MessagingCollects replies to your texts into a Messages inbox your staff can read and answer, instead of an automatic "this number is not monitored" reply.Off

:::info New schools start with both turned on Conductly now starts every newly created school with Time off and Messaging already switched on. If your school signed up recently, that's why you may find them on without having turned them on yourself. If your school has been on Conductly for a while, nothing changed for you -- both stay off until you turn them on here. :::

Turning a Feature On or Off

  1. Go to Settings > Features.
  2. Switch the toggle next to the feature.
  3. The change saves immediately -- a small checkmark confirms it.

Turning a feature on adds its settings page to the sidebar (for example, turning on Time off adds Settings > Time Off). Turning it off removes that page from the sidebar again, but nothing it recorded is deleted -- switch the feature back on and everything you'd already set up or approved is exactly where you left it.

tip

If you're looking for a setting and can't find it, check whether the feature it belongs to is turned on here first.
