Reports & Analytics Overview

Conductly's reporting system helps you understand how your music school is performing across finances, enrollment, scheduling, and more. Whether you need a quick look at this month's revenue or a detailed breakdown of instructor utilization, reports give you the data you need to make informed decisions.

How Reporting Works

Conductly's reporting system is built around three key concepts:

Report Templates

Report templates are pre-built reports that cover the most common questions music school administrators ask. They're organized by category (financial, students, operations) and are ready to run with just a date range.

Think of templates as starting points. Select a template, set your parameters, and view the results instantly.

Saved Reports

When you run a report template and want to keep the results or re-run it later with the same settings, you can save it. Saved reports remember your date range, filters, and configuration so you can run them again with one click.

Dashboards

Dashboards combine multiple reports on a single page, giving you a high-level view of your school's performance at a glance. You can create custom dashboards for different purposes — one for weekly financials, another for enrollment metrics, and so on.

What You Can Measure

Conductly's reports cover three main areas:

CategoryWhat It CoversExample Questions
FinancialRevenue, billing, payments, outstanding balancesHow much revenue did we generate this month? What's our total outstanding balance?
StudentsEnrollment, attendance, growth, retentionHow many new students enrolled this quarter? What's our student retention rate?
OperationsScheduling, room utilization, instructor workloadWhich rooms are most heavily used? How are lessons distributed across instructors?

Who Can Access Reports

Reports are available to Owners and Administrators. Instructors do not have access to the reporting section by default, as reports often contain sensitive financial and business data.

info

If you need to share specific report data with an instructor, you can export the report and send it to them directly, or add the report to a shared dashboard.

Getting Started with Reports

If you're new to Conductly's reporting features, here's a suggested starting point:

  1. Explore the templates. Browse the Report Templates to see what's available out of the box. Running a few templates will give you a feel for how reporting works.

  2. Save your go-to reports. Once you find templates you'll use regularly, save them with your preferred date ranges and filters.

  3. Build a dashboard. Combine your most important reports into a Dashboard so you can check your school's health at a glance.

tip

Start simple. You don't need to set up everything at once. Even running one or two report templates each week can give you valuable insights into your school's performance.
