Inbox & Notifications
The Inbox is the first screen you see when you open Conductly. It acts as your command center, showing real-time notifications about everything happening at your school -- from new enrollments and payments to scheduling milestones and class capacity alerts.
The Inbox Layout
The Inbox uses a two-panel layout:
- Left panel -- A scrollable list of all your notifications, with the most recent at the top.
- Right panel -- When you select a notification, its full details appear here, along with any available actions.
On smaller screens, the Inbox switches to a single-panel view. Tap a notification to see its details, then use the back arrow to return to the list.
Notification Types
Conductly sends notifications across several categories to keep you informed:
Form Submissions
- New Private Lesson Interest Form -- A family submitted the private lesson interest form.
- New Registration Form Submitted -- A customer completed a registration form.
- New Marketing Form Submitted -- A customer submitted a marketing form.
Student Management
- New Prospective Student -- A new prospective student was created in Conductly.
Billing & Payments
- Payment Received -- A first-time customer paid their initial invoice.
- Payment Failed or Declined -- An attempted payment did not go through.
- Invoice Overdue -- A customer has one or more overdue invoices.
- Multiple Invoices Overdue -- A customer has several invoices past due.
- Invoice Overdue 30 Days -- An invoice has reached 30 days overdue.
- Multiple Invoices Overdue 30 Days -- A customer has multiple invoices that have reached 30 days overdue.
- Initial Invoice Unpaid (3 Days) -- A first invoice has not been paid after 72 hours.
- Registration Needs Invoice -- A registration does not have an invoice 7 days after completion.
Scheduling & Calendar
- Customer Paid but Not Scheduled -- A customer has paid but has no lessons scheduled after 7 days.
- First Lesson Today -- A student has their very first lesson today.
- Last Lesson Today -- A student is finishing their final scheduled lesson today.
- Scheduled but Not Invoiced -- A registered student has lessons scheduled but no invoice after 3 days.
Classes & Enrollment
- Class 75% Full -- A class has reached 75% capacity.
- Class Sold Out -- A class has hit full capacity and enrollment is closed.
- Class Starting Today -- A class begins today.
- Class Ending Today -- Today is the final day of a class.
Auto-Invoicing
- Invoice Generation Reminder -- 48 hours before scheduled invoice generation.
- Invoices Ready for Review -- Draft invoices have been generated and need your review.
- Auto-Send Reminder (48h / 24h) -- Reminders before invoices are automatically sent.
- Auto-Send Complete -- Invoices have been auto-sent for the day.
- Auto-Charge Reminder (48h) -- Reminder before saved cards are auto-charged.
- Auto-Charge Complete -- Conductly has finished auto-charging saved cards.
Online Store
- New Store Purchase -- A customer completed a purchase from your online store.
Managing Notifications
Mark as Read / Unread
Click on a notification to mark it as read. The unread indicator (a dot) will disappear. You can also right-click a notification to access a context menu with options to mark it as read or unread.
Archive Notifications
Once you have dealt with a notification, archive it to keep your Inbox clean:
- Right-click the notification (or use the context menu).
- Select Archive.
To view archived notifications, switch to the Archive tab at the top of the Inbox.
Bulk Operations
Need to clean up your Inbox quickly? Use bulk operations:
- Mark All as Read -- Marks every notification in your current view as read.
- Archive All -- Moves all notifications in your current view to the archive.
These options are available from the Inbox header.
Real-Time Updates
The Inbox automatically checks for new notifications at regular intervals. When new notifications arrive, they appear at the top of your list without requiring a page refresh. You will see the notification count update in the sidebar as well.
Keyboard Navigation
For power users, the Inbox supports keyboard shortcuts to help you move through notifications quickly:

Customizing Your Notifications
Not every notification is relevant to every team member. You can control which notifications you receive and how you receive them from Settings > Notifications.

If you find your Inbox is too noisy, start by turning off email notifications for lower-priority items and keeping just the in-app notifications. You can always check the Inbox directly for those updates.
